Emberfall Legends

Emberfall Legends is the rare mobile RPG where the writing carries as much weight as the loot. You play a wandering scout piecing together why the northern villages are going dark, and the branching dialogue means two playthroughs can feel genuinely different. We got hooked on the side quests, which is usually where mobile RPGs run out of ideas.

Combat is real-time but forgiving. You tap to attack, hold to charge a heavier swing, and swipe to dodge. It works beautifully with one hand, which matters when you're playing on a couch. The skill tree is deep without being overwhelming, and respeccing is cheap, so you're encouraged to experiment.

Our one gripe is the load times between zones on older hardware. Otherwise this is a standout, and the fact that it plays fully offline is a huge plus for a game with this much content.
