Grid Runner Neo
Grid Runner Neo goes all in on speed and style. Tracks curl through glowing cityscapes, and the whole thing is designed to be picked up for a two-minute run. You steer by tilting your phone, and after some settings tweaking we found a sensitivity that felt sharp without being twitchy.
The boost system is the heart of it. Drift into a corner, release at the right moment, and you get a burst that chains into the next turn. Get greedy and you spin out. It's simple to learn and satisfying to master, and the ghost racing mode kept us chasing our own best times for hours.
It does run warm on longer sessions, and the tilt controls won't be for everyone, though there's a touch-steering option buried in the menu. Worth digging out if tilt makes you seasick.
