Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is easily the most atmospheric game in our current catalog. You arrive in a mist-covered town where everyone has a story they're not telling, and you explore by tapping to move and dragging to examine objects. The hand-drawn art is gorgeous, and the ambient sound design made us reach for headphones.

The puzzles are woven into the story rather than bolted on. You piece together a family's history by matching clues, and nothing ever felt like busywork. We finished it in a few evenings and immediately wanted more.

Battery-wise it's very kind, since it's mostly static scenes and soft animation. This is the sort of game we recommend to people who say they don't like mobile games.
